Onboarding Steps

  1. 1.
    Send an email to the Partner Onboarding Ecosystem team with your intent to integrate your service with IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D).
  2. 2.
    Fill in the Partner Profile template provided by IBM.
  3. 3.
    Upload the Partner Profile to Box along with any presentations or videos describing how your product or service works.
  4. 4.
    Once accepted into the Partner Onboarding program, work with IBM to:
    1. 1.
      Create a Partner Tile in the Partners Catalog.
    2. 2.
      Define the service requirements of your application or service, e.g. minimum CPU, memory, and storage requirements.
  5. 5.
    Work with IBM to access a cluster or IBM Cloud account with Red Hat Open Shift (RHOS), CP4D, and base IBM CP4D add-ons installed to gain initial hands-on experience with CP4D, test the installation of your add-on and validate your offering's documentation and links.
  6. 6.
    Develop the following:
    1. 1.
      Installation of the Service or Application
    2. 2.
      Cloud Pak for Data Tile "Open" Link
    3. 3.
      Uninstallation of the Service or Application
    4. 4.
      Integrated for CP4D Metering (Collect Operational Metrics)
    5. 5.
      Multi namespace tenancy model
  7. 7.
    Develop integration with other CP4D Services and/or utilize CP4D control plane services.
  8. 8.
    Provide Security Hardening.
    1. 1.
      Meet the Security Hardening requirements required/listed to run on RHOS.
    2. 2.
      If accepted as an OEM Partner, meet IBM’s Global Procurement Security and Privacy Terms.
  9. 9.
    Complete Red Hat OpenShift Certification for container and/or operator.
  10. 10.
    Update the Partner Catalog Tile with Content and URLs.

      Tile description, logo, and images that meet the requested IBM Design specifications
    4. 4.
      Tile Design and Content Review
  11. 11.
    Perform Testing.
    1. 1.
      Test with RHOS, CP4D, and Persistent Storage Type.
    2. 2.
      Test deployment in the CP4D RHOS Project/Namespace on Cluster.
    3. 3.
      Run a set of tests (UI/API) to verify your integration with CP4D.
    4. 4.
      Ensure to perform 10 consecutive successful installs.
    5. 5.
      Ensure to perform 10 pod deletes with successful restarts.
  12. 12.
    Validate Supported Platforms (Deployment Layer):
    1. 1.
      Red Hat Open Shift
  13. 13.
    Validate Supported Platforms (IaaS Layer):
    1. 1.
      IBM Kubernetes Service (IBM ROKS)
    2. 2.
      SoftLayer
    3. 3.
      Amazon Web Services
    4. 4.
      Microsoft Azure
    5. 5.
      Google Cloud Platform
  14. 14.
    Initiate and Complete Cloud Pak Certification.
  15. 15.
    Initiate Content Review for approval.
  16. 16.
    Create Enablement Materials.
  17. 17.
    For Resell and OEM partnerships, establish a support process with the IBM CP4D Support team.
  18. 18.
    Continue communications with the Partner Onboarding Ecosystem team.
  19. 19.
    Remain current by supporting new releases of RHOS and CP4D.
